It’s time to go back into the Danger Zone! We’re about to get the sixth season of Archer arrive onto Netflix after a long wait. In case you’re not familiar with Archer, where the heck have you been!? The FX series has been active since 2009 stretching 6 seasons and has reached the 75 episode mark. It’s took many different turns throughout its lifetime but one thing remains a constant, the show is one of the funniest on television right now. Season 6 has been confirmed to be streaming on Netflix from March 29th which is just a couple of days before the season premiere on FX. The show comes from the mind of Adam Reed who is not shy at approaching animation projects with Sealab 2021 and 12 oz Mouse under his belt. The show is about a secret agent working for the international secret intelligence service where he goes on secret missions. As of late however, it has turned into a Miami Viced styled show with a particular emphasis on the drug trade. The show is often compared against Bob’s Burgers mainly because it shares many of the same actors. Confirmed by Netflix in their library browser on mobiles, TV’s and games consoles, a small notification notes that all of season 6 will be arriving on Netflix on March 29th, 2016. That’s just a couple days before season 7 premieres on FX, which is far from ideal but we’re thankful we’re getting it full-stop. We’re pumped to be streaming Archer once more and if you are too, let us know how you’re going to watch the show in the comments below. All in one sitting or are you going to pace yourself?.
Episodes Top Rated TV 55 | Nominated for 3 Primetime Emmys. Another 7 wins Cheryl transforms into “ Cherlene,” a famous country singer; Malory becomes an arms dealer; Lana is pregnant, so Archer books a kung-fu kickin’ Kenny Loggins (naturally) for her baby shower; Krieger meets his Nazi clone-brothers; and Cyril becomes a dictator. And it all ended with Lana delivering baby A. J., her child with Archer, in a war zone.   Season 6, which will hit television sets sometime in 2015, will see the Emmy-nominated series revert back to its office/spy format. The Daily Beast spoke at length to creator Adam Reed about the Vice deviation, what goes into making an episode of Archer, and where the show’s headed next season. The big moment at the end of Season 5 was the introduction.
Ready to be back in the Danger Zone with Archer? Everyone’s favorite spies return to FXX for season 7 tomorrow night, and thankfully Netflix just provided us with last season 6 today – just in time to take that sick day you’ve been waiting for. Season 6 found the Archer gang working for the FBI after Season 5’s Archer Vice, an homage to 80’s cop drams. During that season, the gang inexplicably had to sell a literal ton of cocaine and help floosy receptionist Cheryl Tunt’s country music career get off the ground. This all came after four seasons of the team working for the spy agency ISIS ( International Secret Intelligence Service) – which obviously came to an end when real life intervened with the spy fantasy. The journey of Archer and crew working for Slater (voiced by Christian Slater) continues in Season 6 as they help out the CIA with a series of illict operations. As to be expected in the world of Archer, explosive hijinks ensue. Most notable this season, Lana – the only real competent spy on the team – now has a baby with Archer, which only serves to complicate things between the perpetual will-they-or-won’t-they spies in love. Season 6 is 13 episodes long, and it’s definitely worth a quick binge if you haven’t already seen it.  And, if you have the time, it might be worth a rewatch if it’s been a year since you last saw Archer trotting the globe, counting bullets, and tricking his mother with fake voicemail pranks. Archer – while having a reputation for being a vulgar cartoon – is one of the smarter shows on TV right now, with its constant in jokes, riff on the common spy and cop dramas. You should expect nothing else from a drama pitched by creator Adam Reed as “ James Bond meets Arrested Development”. If you have never seen a single episode of Archer, or want to get caught up on what you might have forgotten in last season’s whirlwind of episodes, there is no.
