The problem is, I now want to use my Acer Scan U Scanner but it wont install the drivers. I get the following problem. = Windows encountered a problem installing the drivers software of your device. Windows found driver software for your device but it encountered an error while attempting to install it. Ben Q S2 W 4300 U/3300 U Scanner. The system cannot find the file specified. If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit it's website and check the support section for driver software. = I went to both the Acer and Ben Q websites trying to get the drivers for it, I managed to download the Mirascan thing for XP, but then i found the option for Vista Drivers on one of the pages, i clicked it and it took the to the following link. I then got the Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage page. Any ideas where I can the vista drivers from? I've searched high and low and the best looking solution I can find for you is a program/drivers called Vue Scan. This is another Mira Scan scanner from Benq. You might want to ensure that you have the correct hardware as there is another Mira Scan driver on this website being the Benq 5000u Scanner which works almost the same as this. As with all files on the internet ensure that you can all files with an anti-virus scanner and then also check with a malware scanner such as Malwarebytes. Benq Flatbed 4300 U/3300 U Driver Install in Compatibility Mode for Windows 7 * Extract the files into a directory. * Now RIGHT click on the install file and click on compatibility troubleshooting. * Click on Troubleshoot Compatibility and it will search the driver file * It will now give an option. This is on Windows 7. Click Recommended Settings * There you go you can install the driver Option 2 : Note: There is no Windows 7 driver for this hardware. This was the last driver for this hardware as it is very old and was never updated again. What you could try is running the driver in compatibility mode. 1. Place the driver installation file on the Desktop. 2. Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/ Compatibility Tab. 3. Select Windows XP for compatibility mode. 4. Click Apply 5. Right Click the file and select the Run As Administrator option to install.
